What are order templates?
Order templates allow buyers on Handshake Direct Online to easily order or reorder from a saved set of products with associated quantities. Order templates can be saved by the buyer, or admins can predefine order templates that are visible to all customers. Common uses are order templates designed to showcase a suggested order of a new collection of products, or a set of products to match to the configuration of a specific point-of-sale display.
How buyers can save and use order templates on Handshake Direct Online
Once products and quantities have been added to the cart, buyers will have the option to save an order as an order template when checking out. A label can be designated for each order template by entering a name into the "Label" field at checkout, which will allow the buyer to easily reference the order templates.
Saving an order as an order template:
Once a buyer has saved an order template, or has had one created for them by a Handshake admin, they'll see a new header at the top of Direct Online - "My Order Templates".
By clicking on "My Order Templates", buyers can easily re-order multiple groups of items.
Buyers can also search for order templates by the Order ID, PO, or Label name.
Creating an order template for your buyers
An admin can create order templates using the bulk import in Handshake Hub, so that their buyers can see pre-defined lists of favorites or a curated list of items.
All you need to do is import the order and specify the status as "Template" in the spreadsheet.
You can also add labels for order templates during the import.
Create a column "Label" and specify a label of your choice for each order template in the spreadsheet.
