Remember, you signed up for Handshake because you wanted to boost the effectiveness of your sales team while better servicing your customers. In order to do this, you'll need something for you and your team to sell!
You most likely have a spreadsheet on your computer of your product list, possibly formatted with column headers and data such as SKU, item code, UPC, price, name, description, barcode, etc. If you do, than you're already off to an excellent start. Depending on the products you are selling, such as clothing or apparel, you may have additional fields for your products such as size and color options. It's suggested that you copy the relevant data from your pre-existing product list, and paste that data over into our Handshake-formatted templates.
- If your products are unique, and don't come in various size or color options, it's suggested that you download this simple product spreadsheet template, and use it as a guideline to build your Handshake product list.
- If your products come in various size, color, or pattern options (for example an article of clothing that comes in multiple sizes, or multiple sizes across multiple colors), it's suggested that you download this more detailed product spreadsheet template, and use it as a guideline to build your Handshake product list.
You're probably asking yourself, "Why do I need to download these spreadsheets?"
While Handshake's formatting is not that complicated, it is specific. We want to make sure your products are importing successfully into Handshake so you can start selling right away, so we've provided a pre-formatted spreadsheet for your convenience.
Once you've downloaded the template spreadsheets, watch this video for a step-by-step tutorial on how to format the spreadsheet with your products, and import them successfully into your Handshake account.
If you have any additional questions about uploading your products in to Handshake Hub, please email our support team at your earliest convenience. We are always happy to assist.
If you're all set with uploading your products, you'll want to move on to uploading your customers.
