Handshake Direct Mobile is a seamless order writing platform that gives you access to your supplier product catalog. Handshake Mobile Direct is available for iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad.

Determining which device is best for you should be discussed with you and your supplier. Your supplier will work with you in providing log-in credentials which will include a specified email address and password. If you have a device, but have yet to download Handshake Direct Mobile on to your device, you can access it from the app store by clicking here directly from your mobile device, or searching the app store on your device for Handshake. The app icon looks like this:
Once downloaded you'll want to launch the application, type in your email and password credentials, and tap Login in the top right corner:
After the sync has completed successfully, you are all set to start placing orders from your suppliers catalog. Tap where it says Orders along the bottom row of icons. Then tap on the compose icon (the pen and paper) in the top right corner of the screen:
Depending on how your suppliers catalog is set up, they may offer products across multiple manufacturer lines. In our example we've set up the catalog this way. You can use the search bar to search across all available manufacturers, or you can tap on the specific manufacturer line whose products you want to search and order from:
Once in the specific manufacturer line, you can navigate further into the catalog by tapping on the product category of choice. Here as well you have access to a search bar at the top of the category listing, allowing you to easily search your desired products by name or SKU:
After finding the products you are looking for, tap in the center of the line for the product you want to add and quantities of that product will be added to your cart:
Notice how in the previous screenshot a single unit was added to the cart when we tapped on the desired item. If you want to adjust the quantity added to the cart per tap, you'll want to tap on the +1 in the bottom right corner of the screen. This will open up a window where you can set the quantity of your choosing to either a positive or a negative, adjust if its a case pack value, a unit value, or if you have to set the quantity manually each time you tap on a product:
Another way of adding or modifying quantities to your cart is by swiping from right to left with your finger across the desired product. This will allow you to add or remove quantities, set a desired quantity, or delete the product all together from your order in progress:
Handshake Direct Mobile also supports barcode scanning for building your order. This is a really efficient way to write up an order as you are browsing your existing inventory and have the product barcode readily available. Scanning barcodes can be done by either using the devices built in camera, or by pairing a bluetooth enabled barcode scanner. Information on supported bluetooth scanners can be found here. To start the barcode scanning feature, tap on the icon that looks like a barcode and then choose the camera or bluetooth option:
Once you're done adding products, you can review your cart by tapping on the Cart icon on the bottom center of the screen. From the cart you are capable of swiping left on a specific product if you need to make quantity adjustments before submitting your order:
Once you've reviewed your cart and are ready to submit your order, tap on the Checkout button in the bottom right corner. Ensure all fields required by your supplier are filled out, making sure to scroll down on this page to see all available fields. Once all fields are filled out, tap the bar on the bottom of the page that says Submit Order:
Once your order is submitted, you will be given the option to sync your device to the web. It's important to know that submitting the order doesn't immediately sync it to your supplier. Rather, it queues up the order to be sent out upon the next sync. Syncing immediately after submitting (as long as you have an internet connection available) will ensure that your orders are properly submitted to your buyer for review:
