Rep Specific Catalogs let you assign user groups by manufacturer, so you can control the brands that your sales reps can view in Handshake.
Restricting the visibility of manufacturers for users is critical if you have sales reps who only support certain brands within their portfolios. This ensures they discuss products and submit orders exclusively for the brands they are authorized to sell.
Rep Specific Catalogs require that you are using Handshake Professional and have already set up user groups. More information on setting up user groups can be found here.
Enabling Rep Specific Catalogs (Manufacturer Hiding):
First you'll want to go to the setup tab within your Handshake account and go to account settings.
From within account setting, there will be an on/off switch to control manufacturer visibility by user group. Make sure to save your changes.
Assigning Manufacturers to User Groups:
From the setup tab within your Handshake account you'll want to go to manufacturers.
Click edit on the manufacturer you want to restrict access to.
From within their page, you can check and uncheck which user groups should and should not have access to their product line.
