Batched Orders allows you to quickly write multiple orders for a customer at once. Let's say you are at a trade show and mid order your customer asks, "Can we split this order in to multiple shipments?"
As a sales rep, you can now confidently answer, "Indeed I can!"
Common use cases for batched orders include:
- A customer requests multiple ship dates
- A customer places orders for multiple locations
Each order in the batch can be unique with its own:
- Ship date
- Ship-to address
- SKU's
- Quantities
- Discounts
- Notes
All the flexibility and control you are used to with a single order is now available for multiple orders at once.
Writing batched orders
1. Here we see an in-progress order...
2. You can easily split the order into multiple ship dates by navigating to the "Options" tab and tapping in the top right corner where it says "Split Order".
3. You can tap where it says 'Add Order' if you need to write more than two orders at once. On the "Options" and "Finishing Up" tab you will be able to edit the orders individually. Notice in this example how order 952059 is set to ship immediately just like the order above it? This isn't what the customer wants, so we'll tap on the order...
4. And we'll be brought to an options screen unique to the individual order we tapped on. The customer prefers that this order ships in July. They believe that's when they will need a restock and want to put in the order now along with the order that ships immediately. Tap 'Save' when you have the date you need and then 'Batch Options' on the top left.
5. Now we see both orders, one on top of the other, each with their own unique order number and ship date. To start adding repeat items to the order, tap on the 'Cart' button on the bottom. (If you wanted to add products that weren't on the original order, you'd want to tap on the 'Products' button instead)
6. If you tap on any line item in the cart, a new window will pop up showing you the different orders in the batch you are working on.
7. From within this window, you simply tap on the order that you want to add the products to.
8. Even in this view, you can take advantage of the left-swipe controls that allow you set a specific quantity, subtract, add, or do a full delete.
9. After adding your products, you can tap where it says 'By Split' at the top of the screen to see a more detailed breakdown of the items, number of units, subtotals, and more, per order, all on the same screen.
10. Scroll down as far as you need to (based on the total amount of orders and items per order you've written) to see all relevant batch order information. You can close the order as you would any other order by pressing 'Close' in the top left corner.
11. When reviewing the orders for that customer, you will see them individually in the order list view. However tapping on an order that was written in a batch will give you the option to modify the specific one you tapped on, or the ability to open and modify the whole batch. Opening the individual order will give you access to all the 'Options' and 'Finishing Up' controls you are used to.
